Unsatisfying

Unsatisfying

Reading Time:

Over the summer of 2016, Paris-based Parallel Studio put together an animation dedicated to the annoying, disappointing and frustrating moments that we all experience day to day. While these moments are excruciating to live through they’re equally tough to watch.

I love the style of the video, from the isometic videogame-esque visuals to the colour choice. The music and subtle sounds really work, and the simple movements say so much without being busy.

There are enough unsatisfying situations that this animation could have gone on for hours, so to keep the momentum going Parallel have created the Unsatisfying Challenge, encouraging other animators to show what grinds their gears.
